Mini ASCape

Mini ASCape are children aged 8 years and under and their families.

The early years are so important for Autistic and socially anxious children and their families.  Finding a place where your children can safely have fun, socialise and build their confidence and self-esteem is vital.  As a parent, these early years can be very isolating and uncertain.  At ASCape, we truly know the value of having a safe, non-judgemental place for parents to give and seek support and to celebrate our amazing children.

Some of the activities our Mini ASCapers have enjoyed include MiniMusicMakers, indoor rock climbing, Police and Fire Station visits and trips to the Foxdown Children’s Farm. Volunteers hold a DBS, and are safeguarding-trained, with experience of autism and mental health challenges.

“We’ve been to a lot of Mini ASCape events but the MiniMusicMaker one was amazing. Even though my son wasn’t able to use his words that day, he was totally included in the group. He played all the instruments and whistles and was clicking his fingers. He really liked it.” Stacey, mum to Teddy, age 5

“My son has attended many ASCape activities; trips to Magdalen farm, MiniMusicMakers and Fire Station visits, to name a few. We’ve made great friends, and it’s really lovely to be in an environment where he is free to be himself.”  Harriet, mum to 5 year old boy
