In April, we teamed up with The Front Skatepark in Weymouth to offer a free skateboard and art workshop for ASCape children not in school or on reduced timetables.
One of the parents whose son attended was Leonie MacDonald. Here’s what she had to say about the activity:
“Teo had such an inclusive and safe time at the recent Front skatepark session, made possible by ASCape. He was able to practice at the skatepark not only improving his skateboarding techniques but also growing in confidence. He loves the staff at The Front. They are welcoming and vigilant.”
We received some funding from BBC Children in Need which will help us to be able to put on more activities in Weymouth & Portland. If you have any ideas for activities in the area that you’d like to see, please email your suggestions to Victoria@ascapegroup.org.
