Parents & Carers’ Wellbeing Afternoon

Bridport Youth & Community Centre
Join us for a chat, drinks and cake followed by an absorbing and revitalising art activity with artist Kathy Kelly and a mindfulness session from experienced practitioner, Beatrice Brooke. All designed to bring you back to yourself for a while.
With Jo from Oops Wow Messy Art we’ll be using paint, water, and gravity to enjoy watching colours flow over and mix with each other. She says “I think the kids would call it “hashtag ASMR”. There are two different activities – both exciting and thoroughly relaxing no-fail processes where you end up with beautiful pieces of paper, that you could use as wrapping paper, cut up for cards, or even put on your wall….”
This isn’t a massively messy one, but don’t wear your favourite clothes!
Plus experienced mindfulness meditation practitioner and ASCape parent, Beatrice Brooke will be guiding us through a gentle session designed to boost our mental health and lift fatigue. Beatrice has been teaching mindfulness meditation since 2015, having discovered the benefits for herself in promoting better mental health and increased energy. She’s taught mindfulness to a wide range of people from 10-75 and currently enjoys using mindfulness to help parents and children under stress.
