A relaxed visit to Lyme Regis Town Mill for ASCape families.

At 1.45pm we will meet at Lyme Regis Town Mill where we will have a private tour of the Mill before meeting the Miller and watching a flour milling demonstration. Then we will go to the quiet, studio space where the children (and adults!) can have a go at milling their own flour using the mini hand milling machines. You can take your flour home and use it for baking.

The children will be given activity sheets for spotting things they go around the mill and the garden.

Please note: There will be some noise in the Mill, especially when the water wheel starts up and the stones start turning for milling. The Mill is also a little dark and very old so expect some different sights and smells. Youn may wish to bring ear defenders if your child is particularly sensitive. There are also be a number of steps to access the Mill and the studio space for the mini milling.

We are offering three pricing options so families can choose the rate that best reflects their circumstances. If you are able to choose the Supporter rate, you help another family attend an ASCape event at a reduced cost.

Parent-carers do not need a separate ticket.

Parking: The nearest car parks are Broad Street Car Park and Cobb Gate Car Park. Charmouth Road Car Park is the nearest Long Stay Option. The X51 and X53 buses run from Bridport to Lyme Regis.
