Visit the Donkey Assisted Learning Centre as part of your visit to The Donkey Santuary.

Staff members will take a step back, giving the children the opportunity to interact with the donkeys in a gentle, natural way. This allows them to immerse themselves in the world of donkeys without interruption. The experience will allow the children to unwind and connect with the donkeys.

The staff members will also lead the children in a mindfulness exercise in the presence of the donkeys. This brings together a calm environment, breathing and self-awareness techniques, and the chance to observe the impacts of being mindful. The children will spend time breathing, observing and refocusing.

Admission to The Donkey Sanctuary is free; you and your family are welcome to explore the site for a few hours before or after the session. The Golden Carrot Trail is running all summer and is a fun way to explore the site!
